How to Make Rava Idli.Rava Idli Recipe.Easy 

Homemade Rava Idli.

Hi All,

Here are the simple tips for make a delicious and smooth idli in 30 minutes.

 

Ingredients for the Rava Idli batter.

  • Jeera / Cumin seeds ½ tsp
  • Mustard ½ tsp
  • Bengal gram split(Channa dal) 2 tsp
  • Split Black gram 2 tsp
  • Cashew pieces of 10-15
  • Chopped coriander leaf
  • Green chilli
  •  ½ tsp termeric powder 
  • Carrot Crushed 2
  • Bombay rava / Chiroti rava (small type rava/sooji)
  • Water
  • Curd
  • Oil/Ghee
  • Curry leaf finely chopped.

Lets Start...................

  • Take a Pan/Kadai
  • Add ½ tsp Mustard, ½ tsp Jeera, 2 tsp Channa dal, 2 tsp split black gram, 10-15 Cashew pieces, chopped green chilli, ½ tsp termeric powder and fry till it gets golden brown color.
  • Add chopped coriander leaf and Curry leaf.
  • Add 1 big crushed carrot or 2 medium sized and fry well.
  • In this mixture add 1 cup of Rava and fry till it gets separated from oil.It should not be sticky.
  • Off the stove.Let the mixture cool down.
  • Take ¾ cup of curd in the same cup in which you take Rava.
  • Add the curd in the mixture using spoon and water as required to get a Idli batter consistency.
  • Rest it down for 10 Minutes.
  • Check the batter, If required add little water and mix well.
  • Steam the Idli vessel.
  • Grease the idli plates with Oil.
  • Before pouring the Idli batter into the mold just garnish the plates with piece of cashew,Crushed carrot and Coriander leaf.
  • Pour the batter into the mold.
  • Steam for 20 minutes.
